Unused and obsolete electronic equipment presents a significant environmental challenge around the world. Plastics, PVCs, batteries and toxic metals from discarded electronic equipment comprise a large percentage of landfill waste. These materials end up contaminating the land and water supplies around the country and the world.

As a responsible leader in the communications industry, AVC recognizes this growing. As part of our overall Sustainability Program, AVC has implemented a system which will aid our clients and the environment in the proper disposal and recycling of unwanted and unneeded electronics. AVC has engaged the services of an R2 Certified recycling partner. We will facilitate the proper removal and recycling of any electronics products from our client’s facility, whether the items are strictly audio-visual equipment or not. In our efforts to encourage these practices, AVC will credit the charges for the first 200lbs. of material turned over to our recycling partner. AVC sees our part in this program as a catalyst, not a cure-all. We hope that our clients will take advantage of our offer. We stand ready to assist in taking this step towards responsible, sustainable business practices.
