The challenge presented to AVC was to design and build a system that would enhance the use of specialized group decision making software. Each participant needed to have access to a computer and view their own monitor. The participants also needed to comfortably view information on two displays which presented shared information. Face-to-face interaction was also key to successful decision making, so the participants could not all face the same direction or be too far apart.

The photos show the creative solution designed by AVC, accepted by the client and subsequently executed by AVC. The custom table can be closed when the local monitors are not needed, providing a conference table with a normal look and feel. When opened, each local monitor and keyboard is available. Dual overhead flat panels provide the required two images, with each participant being within industry standard viewing distances.
