Ultra-high Resolution Demonstration Room Print

Not-for-profit Government Contractor

0010_rs_crop_lores-Small.jpgThis client faced a problem. They needed to display images as high as 2,000 X 2,000 pixels. The ultimate goal was to show two 2,000 X 2,000 images side by side. Each pixel was critical, so they had decided to eliminate the mullions in their screen by use of a single diffusion type screen. The resulting image had a checkerboard effect caused by six independent light sources. In addition, the projectors were aging and required daily tune-up. The client then came to AVC searching for a solution.

We solved the problem by using a single, ultra-high resolution (4160 X 2180) projector. Since there is only one light source the checkerboard effect was eliminated. The overall image quality (black levels, color saturation, pixel density, contrast ratio, uniformity, geometry) is superb and has reset the standard within the organization.
